LINES OF THOUGHT EXHIBITION

08:38

During my first week of living in Bournemouth, my fashion class took a trip to the pottery town of Poole. Here we visited The Lines of Thought exhibition at Poole Museum, but not before we had fish and chips by the water!
I loved how this part of Poole was filled with     people enjoying their food and soaking up the sun! Yes I know, we actually get sun sometimes in the uk. The atmosphere of this little town was overflowing with laughter and fun.

The Poole Museum in general was a small building just tucked off the main road by the docks. The building contained so much character and a lot of history! It was amazing to see all these sketches and works of art, before their artists finalised the piece with paint and colour.  I was amazed to see one of Picasso's sketches hanging up on the wall in this little Museum. Some sketches were detailed and exquisite, others just contained very basic outilines and some were even what anyone other than the artist, may interpret as just squiggles on a page.

As much as this exhibition and museum did interest me, it didn't give me very much inspiration for my projects at university. But I do hope I can use this exhibition in the future to inspire my work and my collections.
