LONDON TRIP

11:04

So myself and Danni took a trip to London last Saturday, to collect fabric samples for our D+ project at university. Once we arrived in London, we took the tube to Soho, where there are quite a lot of little fabric stores dotted about. But we took some photos of the London Eye and Big Ben before we disappeared. We had to be the classic tourist aha.

The first Fabric shop we ventured into was Misan Textiles in Berwick Street. My concept for this project is mud and earth, (I know, it's a bit random aha) so I was on the hunt for textured fabrics which were different shades of brown. I found three different fabrics which caught my eye by their colours and the amount of texture on each one.

From Misan Textiles, we made a very short walk further down Berwick street to Cloth House. I absolutely loved this little store. It was so cute!! There was so much to see in such a small, quaint shop containing anything you might possibly need! Danni and myself had a look around for our fabrics we were thinking of. I kept getting distracted by all the different choices!

Again, to keep a variation of samples, I wanted to look for different types of fabric to the ones I  found in Misan Textile. So I found a really nice wool with different colours running throughout.
From then we travelled to get some food at Wagamama's as we were hungry!! After meeting our friend Jewel at Wagamama's, she took us to the most amazing vintage shop I've seen! If I wasn't a broke university student I would have most probably walked out with half the shop.

It was such a lovely day out! London is well worth the trip to for fabric, even if the price of the train ticket from here (Bournemouth) to London Waterloo did make me cry a little when I bought it. (God it was so expensive) Here are just a couple of photos I took when we were walking around.

One day I'll buy myself a Burberry Trench Coat, I hope! I hope you're having a lovely say wherever you are!
