Today at 2pm myself and my group, presented to Faye and Kate from COAST. It was an amazing experience to present our group work, which we have been working so hard to create over the past weeks. We began by showing Faye and Kate our prints, which we had printed on bamboo silk, whilst we set up the digital presentation.

We began the presentation by refreshing them on our concept, which we had spoken to them about in the first week of the project. The mentioned to us to focus on one of either the impressionism movement or surrealism, as they thought it would be best.

When showing our prints and colour palette to Coast, they said to focus on reducing the colour palette to the orange, pink and red print instead. Kate and Faye also said to re-colour a few prints from our selection, to fit to the main print as they felt like we were brining in too many prints and colour into our collection. 

During our presentation of our Toiles, Faye and Kate gave us some really good feedback and great advice on how to move forward with our collection. For myself, they mentioned about making my trousers into shorts, as they found that trousers for day resort wear is a bit too much. I completely agreed with their comment, as I also felt they same as I had imagined creating shorts from the outset of the project.
